H-1B visas are something of a concern as of now when it comes to foreign immigrants who want to earn a livelihood in the United States. There is a lot of talk going around about Musk supporting the H-1B visa program, hailing from a different count...

There are a lot of employees in the US who are currently possessing H-1B visas and could be in serious trouble when Donald Trump takes over the reigns from January 20. Companies outsource a lot of fresh talent from countries other than the US, and this saves them a lot of money in taxes and salaries, while keeping up its corporate outlook.

Is Tesla CEO Elon Musk in favor of H-1B visa?

Interestingly, Tesla and other Elon Musk companies came up with a good number of employees who are on the H-1B visa program. However, Tesla was way behind in this category led by the likes of Amazon, IBM, Microsoft and Google, says a CBS News report.

Musk will be co-heading a federal department of Trump's upcoming Cabinet very soon, and he is of the opinion that H-1B visas helped America rise to the stature it deserves, and set the course for making the country stronger. India, China, Canada, Korea, the Philippines are some of the most popular countries when H-1B visas are considered, as these are the primary bases from where American companies rope in their talent, with hundreds working from US soil, while others work in remote-based positions.

As of now, the H-1B visa program is capped at 65,000 visas each year, although an additional 20,000 can be issued for employees with a master's degree, equivalent or higher, suggest reports.
