Texas University to launch Harry Styles course in spring 2023. Here are all the details
A new course on English singer and actor Harry Styles' works will be launched by a university in Texas in Spring of 2023. The students will understand the political and cultural development of the pop culture.

The course will cover the actor, his acting career and music. The students will understand the political and cultural development of the modern celebrity and will also relate to questions of race, gender and sexuality, class, media, nation and globalism, fashion, internet culture, fan culture and consumerism.
"This course focuses on British musician Harry Styles and popular European culture to understand the cultural and political development of the modern celebrity as related to questions of gender and sexuality, race, class, nation and globalism, media, fashion, fan culture, internet culture and consumerism," the course description read.
Dr Louie Dean Valencia, an Assistant Professor of Digital History and Coordinator of the Center for Public History at Texas State University announced on Twitter: "It's official, official. I'm teaching the world's first ever university course on the work of #HarryStyles is happening Spring 2023 at @TXST University."
The 28-year-old Styles has starred in the movies, such as 'Don't Worry Darling', 'Dunkirk' and 'My Policeman'. Nevertheless, he would not be the first celebrity to inspire university courses.
Earlier this year, a course based on Taylor Swift was launched at New York University's Clive Davis Institute. Apart from this, courses on The Beatles, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have also been launched in universities.
