Many sports teams like Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and NFL Foundation have announced help for the flood affected.
The bodies of two sisters - Brooke and Blair Harber - were recovered abouy 15 miles from where they were reported to have gone missing in Kerr County early Friday (June 4). The search took almost 12 hours and when the rescuers found their bodies, they were clinging on to each other with their hands locked.
Brooke was 13- and Blair 11-year-old. They were staying with their grandparents in Hunt when the flash floods swepot through their house, their aunt Jennifer Harber told Houston Chronicle. She added that Brooke's last text to her family was "I love you" at 3:30 a.m. as heavy rains lashed the area.

Their granparents and Jennifere's parents - Mike and Charlene Harber - are still missing. Jennifer added that her parents were staying in the guest bedroon downstairs while th two girls were in a loft. As heavy rains pounded the area, Brooke and Blair's father, R.J. went to check on them.
Jennifer narrated R.J. saw the rising flood waters gushing through the gated ommunity of Casa Bonita in Hunt but could not save his daughters or his in-laws. He and other escaped the flash floods by breaking open a window.

By the time R.J. came back to recue his daughters and in-laws, the water had risen too high and was flowing at a rapid pace. His wife Annie, too, survived and they saw several houses being swept away.
Texas floods death toll
At least 79 people have been confirmed dead till Sunday (July 6) evening. Many others including 10 girls from Camp Mystic are still missing.The warning of a flash flood did not come on time for many residents and campers, who were caught unawares by the heavy rains which saw a downpour of four months falling in a few hours. A timelapse video of Llamo river shows it rising over 50 feet in less than an hour as 12 inches of rainfall fell ion a short span of time.
By the time the National Weather Service office sent out an urgent warning about the flood, it was already 4 a.m. local time on July 4. Many areas had already been impacted by then.

Rescue teams recovered 68 bodies from Kerr Country, the hardest hit region, and 11 others along the Llano River and other nearby counties. Texas Governor Greg Abbott revealed “there are 41 known missing.”
He cautioned late on Sunday the danger of floods remain for the next 24 to 48 hours as more heavy rainfall is expected. The areas were rainfall and floods are excpected include Concho Valley and Kerrville.
A total of $1.5 million donation has been announced by the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and NFL Foundation to help those affected by flooding in Texas.
