Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson suffered a frightening injury late in the first half against Notre Dame Saturday night, bringing play to a halt at Notre Dame Stadium. With 58 seconds left before halftime, Anderson was hurt while tackling tight end Eli Raridon, with fellow Aggies defensive back Will Lee III also involved in the collision.

Anderson remained motionless for nearly 10 minutes as medical staff attended him, before being fitted with a neck brace and carted off the field. The senior safety, a 5-foot-10, 186-pound native of Beaumont, Texas, gave a thumbs-up to the crowd as he was driven away and transported to a hospital.

Texas A&M later confirmed that Anderson retained full feeling. The emotional scene saw both Aggies and Fighting Irish players gather in prayer, with the entire Texas A&M team surrounding the cart as Anderson was taken off.

At the time of his injury, Anderson was tied for the team lead in tackles with six, playing a key role in helping No. 16 Texas A&M secure a 28-24 halftime lead over No. 8 Notre Dame.
