Terry Bradshaw receives backlash over ‘waddle over here’ remark to Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid following Super Bowl 2023 victory

One feature of a Fox Super Bowl is that Terry Bradshaw always presents the championship trophy. However, several people questioned why it needed to remain a constant after Super Bowl 57 as Bradshaw received criticism for her remarks to Reid.

After Kansas City's 38-35 victory over the Eagles, Bradshaw sounded rather discourteous to Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who has now guided the franchise to two Super Bowl victories in four years. In a very casual manner, the Fox host beckoned Reid to the microphone.

"Big man Let me bring in the big guy, "On stage, Bradshaw remarked. Waddle over here, cone mon, heh heh”.



Bradshaw also made an attempt to convince Reid to make a big retirement announcement. It's not going to happen (right now), is it? "I know you're getting up there in years now like me, and I just know that there's got to come a moment where with all these Super Bowls, you've got to say to yourself, "Time to ride off into the sunset."

Twitter users weren't really pleased with the way Bradshaw talked to Reid.







Since Fox's debut Super Bowl broadcast in 1997, Bradshaw has hosted all but one of the Super Bowl presentations on the network. The sole exception was in 2014 when Bradshaw had to leave New York over the Super Bowl weekend due to the death of his father. That evening, Michael Strahan assumed control.

NFL fans seem to have had about enough of Bradshaw performing on stage. Even though Reid has always had a sense of humour about himself and his love of food, many NFL fans found it difficult to accept the casual summoning, tactless teasing, and sendoff that occurred.
