The second day of the World’s most prestigious tennis championship has begun and its first round is going on the center court of the All England Tennis Club at Wimbledon, UK. The first round is full of sensation and high-octane drama from the very outset itself. World number Carlos Alcaraz will play against veteran Jeremy Chardy, who is most likely to hang his racket after this tournament.

But another veteran Andy Murray will resume his journey for the glory and take on compatriot Ryan Peniston. On the other hand, Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet Dominic Thiem. Daniil Medvedev will play Arthur Ferry.

In women’s singles reining champion Elena Rybakina will face Shelby Rogers, who has been ranked 49th. The women’s world number one experienced a rough week, but she can be hopeful considering the draw, which should be taken as a lighter one considering her rank.

In the first round itself, reigning Australian champion Aryana Sarbalenka will play against Panna Udvardy. She missed last year’s Wimbledon due to the ban imposed on Russian and Belarussian players. So, this is her first Wimbledon after 2021.

Petra Kvitova will take on Jasmine Paolini on court number 2, while Heather Watson will face Barbara Krejcikova.

Viewers in the U.K. can watch all matches on BBC and Eurosport. Tennis Channel and ESPN will broadcast all matches of Wimbledon in the U.S.A. These matches can be watched in India on Star Sports 2, Star Sports Select 1, and Star Sports HD. In Australia, these can be seen on Nine Network.
