Barron Trump could soon be stepping into the tech spotlight. The 19-year-old son of US President Donald Trump has been pitched for a board position at TikTok, by none other than “TikTok Jack,” the producer who helped shape Trump’s viral online strategy during his 2024 campaign.

Jack Advent, who earned his nickname for steering Trump’s Gen Z outreach, believes Barron’s youth and understanding of digital culture could help keep the platform relevant to younger audiences, as per a report by The Daily Beast.

Why is Barron Trump being considered for TikTok’s board?

Jack Advent, who is affectionately nicknamed as “TikTok Jack” by President Donald Trump, floated Barron Trump’s name for a seat on TikTok’s board. Advent worked closely with Trump during the 2024 presidential race, leading the team behind the president’s viral short-form videos.

“I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and maybe other young Americans to TikTok’s board to help ensure it remains an app young people want to keep using,” Advent told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Barron, currently studying at New York University, has not publicly commented on the idea, as per a report by The Daily Beast.
