A 14-year-old girl was found at Republican Senator Ted Cruz house in the river Oaks neighbourhood with self-inflicted knife cuts to the arms, according to the Houston Police Department, New York Post reported.

Police rushed to the spot after receiving emergency call on Tuesday. The teenager was in a life-threatening situation when they arrived at the hospital, but they are doing much better today.

They could not identify whether or not the girl was linked to Texas Senator Cruz because of the inability to determine her ancestry

On Tuesday evening, TV crews from ABC13 saw law enforcement officials in his front yard. After being reached by the station, a spokesperson for Cruz's requested that his daughter be given some privacy.
