Apple TV Plus's upcoming show "Ted Lasso" Season 4 has gone viral on the social media for wrong reasons. While a section of netizens have criticized an alleged move by the makers, there were rumours that the fourth season of Apple TV+'s Emmy-winning show might have been cancelled.

Hollywood insider Matthew Belloni has claimed that Phil Dunster won't be returning to feature in "Ted Lasso" Season 4 as soccer player Jamie Tartt, as per a report on Dexerto.

The purported move has irked "Ted Lasso" fans who voiced strong reservations over Phil Dunster's absence. Some of them even demanded that the show must be cancelled.


However, there is no truth in the "Ted Lasso" Season 4 getting cancelled on Apple TV+.

Warner Bros. Television has picked up the options on three cast members from the show's original three-season run, who had contracts under U.K.'s acting union Equity. Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift have been approached to reprise their respective roles of Rebecca Walton, Roy Kent and Leslie Higgins, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
