Usher, the future Super Bowl halftime performer at 45, marked a significant career achievement during his final My Way Las Vegas residency performance. Celebrating the moment on stage, he got emotionally caught up during the performance of the track "Without You." Dropping to his knees, covering his face, and surrounded by dancers and collaborators, Usher displayed visible emotion in a fan-recorded video.

Shirtless and clad in silver pants, he wiped away tears, turned to the crowd at Dolby Live — Park MGM, and eventually led an a cappella chant of the song while expressing gratitude to the audience. The residency, which began in July 2022, concluded with Usher's heartfelt acknowledgment on stage.

"God bless you, I love you," he said.

Usher also took to X, formerly knon as Twitter, to celebrate the milestone by retweeting a clip of himself in conversation with Trevor Nelson in 2004. In the interview, Usher discussed the possibility of a Vegas residency, emphasizing that it wasn't something he would dismiss even in 20 years—a sentiment he maintained even during the peak of his Confessions era.

"I am such a theatrical artist," he said in 2004. "I would love to be in a space... if I did decide to go to Las Vegas, it would be the most phenomenal thing you've ever seen in your life."

"It wouldn't be like, 'Oh God, he's washed up and this is just his opportunity to just, you know, collect as many checks as he wants to.' No. It will be a phenomenal show."

Reflecting on the interview on Sunday, Usher commended himself, stating, "I saw it then…look at me now."

In recent weeks, Usher has had multiple reasons to celebrate, including his collaboration with Jungkook of BTS for a remix of his single "Standing Next to You." Promoting the track on Instagram, Usher shared images of the duo, expressing gratitude to his brother Jung Kook.

Additionally, Usher had a special moment with Janelle Monáe during his residency. While performing "Superstar," Usher slow-danced with Monáe, continuing the tradition of serenading guests like Doja Cat and Jessica Alba. Monáe praised Usher for putting on an "incredible show."
