Taylor Swift and Blake Lively's years-long friendship seems to have been deeply affected as legal troubles surface involving Lively's lawsuit against actor Justin Baldoni. The drama is sending waves through their friend groups.

Why did Taylor Swift step back from Blake Lively?

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift's friendship has "halted", and the singer "wants no part in this drama,” as quoted in a report by People. The friendship between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift has deteriorated.

According to someone close to Swift, their friendship has come to an end. "Taylor wants no part in this drama."

Taylor and Blake Lively, whose friendship dates back to 2014, are "taking some space," according to another insider, but they are "not no longer friends."

According to a report by People, in late April, Swift "was really hurt" by being linked to Lively's legal battle, but the celebrities were trying to "put it all behind them."

In January, Justin Baldoni filed a complaint alleging that Lively called the pop star one of her "dragons" during a purported text exchange.

"Lively was the one who brought her high-profile friends into this situation without concern for their own personal or public backlash," Justin Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, said in a previous statement. The truth reveals that she constantly manipulated Justin with her "dragons," he stated.

However, according to a source familiar with the legal dispute, the subpoena, which was served on May 8, has "fractured" the "fragile peace" between Swift and Lively.

How have other friends reacted to the legal drama?

Blake Lively's friendship with Gigi Hadid, another long-time friend, has cooled in recent months, according to People.

Although she still views Blake as a friend, Gigi has distanced herself from her and is closer to Taylor, and she doesn't want to get involved in this whole situation.

In April, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci attended Lively's film debut, and in May, Lively was spotted out with her former co-star Salma Hayek.
