Fans of Taylor Swift sang along, danced and went into a frenzy, as the top singer performed as part of the Eras Tour in Paris. However, one incident left a group of netizens shocked and another group of fans, continued to defend the ‘Bad Blood’ singer. This has been reported by Fox News.

A picture that went viral on social media showed an infant on the floor of the pit section of Paris De La Defense area. It showed an adult standing next to the infant. Nothing is presently known about the relationship between the infant and the adult. The infant was not on the hard floor but on a pile of clothes. The singer’s wrist bands and merchandise were also seen in the picture.

Netizens outraged:

After the picture went viral on social media, netizens were outraged at the ‘apathy’ of the show organizers. Some took to X, formerly Twitter to express their outrage. One such comment read:


“Anything could happen, a medical emergency could happen, someone drunk might have hurt the baby, someone could have accidentally stepped on the baby, I can imagine its difficult to pay attention to your child lying on the floor when you’re watching a 3 ½ hour concert too”.

Another netizen had a stronger view and said: “whoever left the baby on the floor of the pit of the Taylor Swift concert needs to have their child taken off them”.

Not Taylor’s fault:

Some of the singer’s fans were quick to join in the discussion and point out that it wasn’t the singer or the organizers’ fault. One of them said the following:

“it wasn’t the whole fandom that brought that child, it was the parents. Instead of calling out “Swifties”, may be call out the parents that brought the baby to the concert, and put them on the floor in the extremely crowded pit”.

Swift’s team did not immediately respond. Further, the Paris La Defense area stated that they had proposed a separate area for ticket holders with infants, however the organizers declined the proposal.
