Taylor Swift has once again delighted her global fanbase with the release of the re-recorded version of her third studio album, Speak Now. The 33-year-old singer made the announcement on Friday, July 7, through a heartfelt tweet that reflected on the creative process and personal growth she experienced while crafting the album.

The singer has been on a mission to re-record her entire back catalog, driven by the desire to regain control over her master recordings. In a notable acquisition, talent manager Scooter Braun obtained the master recordings of her first six albums when he purchased Taylor's former label.

Subsequently, the masters changed hands, with investment firm Shamrock Capital taking ownership. Although Taylor's deal with Universal Music's Republic Records provided some control over her master recordings, she remains steadfast in her determination to reclaim full ownership of her music by creating new versions of her songs.

Completed Re-Recorded Albums

To date, Taylor Swift has released re-recorded versions of two albums from her discography. The first is Fearless, originally released in 2008, and the second is Red, which debuted in 2012. Speak Now, initially launched in 2010, marks the third album that she has reworked. Fans can easily identify these re-recorded albums as they are marked with "(Taylor's version)," allowing them to actively support her in this endeavor.
