Taylor Lautner shares his equation with his Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson

The stunning wolf shapeshifter Jacob Black's actor from the venerable series opened out about how the long-standing rivalry damaged his friendship with Robert Pattinson, who was renowned for playing the enigmatic Edward Cullen.

I believe there were moments when it was hard for the two of us to be standing on a balcony together with 10,000 females booing Rob and yelling for me, and then this other half of the girls booing me and cheering [for Rob], and then we had to be friends. It was challenging, said the actor.

He then continued by saying they both never bonded strongly because their personalities were very different from each other.


After the franchise ended, I had to go on a trip to discover myself and the things that matter most to me in life. I'm incredibly grateful for the franchise, the actor continued.

In order to more accurately portray the more muscular Jacob Black, the casting team intended to replace him with a huskier man from the start.

The celebrity put on roughly 25 pounds over the course of nine months to properly represent his character, in addition to re-auditioning for the part.

His perseverance paid off, as he went on to play Jacob Black in the next three movies.
