One of the most favorite game shows 'Taskmaster' in the UK is getting a VR spin-off game for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3. Also, the famous game is set to be introduced in 2024.

Developed by Scallywag Arcade, a studio under Draw & Code, in collaboration with Avalon, the production company responsible for the TV series, Taskmaster VR offers players the opportunity to experience and tackle the show's various challenges using their virtual reality headsets.

Players in the show will be embodying the role of a contestant, where they will face various creative challenges, facilitated by Meta's virtual reality technology as they move ahead in the Taskmaster House.


The ultimate objective for contestants is to remain in the game, claim the golden head trophy, and call themselves Taskmaster Champion.

Further, the trailer of the show has also been released on YouTube. The head of the games at Scallywag Arcade, Niall Taylor, said, "The world of Taskmaster is perfect for VR.”

He also added that the show promises its audience an immersive experience that combines "the hilarity of the show with the freedom of virtual reality."

On the other hand, Greg Davies, who is the Taskmaster appreciated the efforts made by the team. He also said that the game is a really exciting addition to the Taskmaster world.

The show will feature some of the most loved games of the audiences such as smashing watermelons and organizing rubber ducks along with tasks like preparing a sandwich for the Taskmaster.

Further, the house of Taskmaster house will naturally play a significant role, with the lab, caravan, and garden expected to be featured prominently.

Taskmaster was initially introduced in July 2015 on Dave before being acquired by Channel 4 in November 2019.

So far, the audience has seen 16 seasons and five special episodes of the comedy show. The show is so widely popular among fans that it has earned the Best Entertainment Programme at the Broadcast Awards 2018.
