Tanner McKee sparks Philadelphia Eagles to NFL preseason win over Bengals, Raiders-Seahawks game ends in a thrilling tie

Tanner McKee delivered a standout performance in the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason opener, throwing for 252 yards and three first-half touchdowns to lead his team to a 34-27 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.

With starter Jalen Hurts sitting out, McKee made the most of his extended snaps, completing 20 of 25 passes. He opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run, then connected on a 6-yard touchdown pass to Ainias Smith and later a 20-yard strike to Darius Cooper before halftime.



Cooper topped the Eagles’ receivers with 82 yards, while Johnny Wilson added 73. ShunDerrick Powell added a 2-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

The Bengals gave Joe Burrow some preseason action, and he looked sharp, going 9-of-10 for 123 yards and tossing two touchdowns - one each to Tanner Hudson and Ja'Marr Chase - on Cincinnati’s first two drives.

Baltimore Ravens beat Indianapolis Colts 24-16

Keaton Mitchell rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Indianapolis Colts 24-16 in the preseason opener for both teams.

Baltimore built a 21-9 halftime lead, fueled by Mitchell’s 22-yard scoring run, an 87-yard punt return touchdown from rookie LaJohntay Wester, and a 2-yard rushing score from Rasheen Ali. Lamar Jackson was held out, and Cooper Rush got the start at quarterback, going 2-of-4 for 16 yards with one interception.


The Colts opened with Anthony Richardson under center, but the third-year quarterback exited early with a dislocated pinkie suffered on a sack during his second drive.

Daniel Jones came on in relief, completing 10 of 21 passes for 144 yards. Indianapolis managed just one touchdown, a 1-yard rush by Khalil Herbert.

Raiders-Seahawks game ends in a thrilling 23-23 tie

Rookie linebacker Jalan Gaines blocked a 55-yard field goal attempt by Las Vegas kicker Daniel Carlson as time expired, allowing the host Seattle Seahawks to hold on for a 23-23 tie in the preseason clash.

The matchup marked Pete Carroll’s debut as Raiders head coach after spending 14 seasons with the Seahawks, where he led the franchise to two Super Bowl appearances and one championship.

Las Vegas erased a 10-point deficit in the final 10 minutes behind a 41-yard touchdown strike from Cam Miller to Shedrick Jackson and a 51-yard field goal by Carlson with 1:12 remaining.


The Raiders forced a quick punt and drove 31 yards in the final 25 seconds to set up Carlson’s last-second attempt, which was blocked by Gaines.

Miller finished an efficient 6-of-7 for 76 yards. Geno Smith started at quarterback for Las Vegas, going 1-of-3 for 15 yards on a brief opening drive.

Aidan O’Connell handled most of the work, completing 18 of 30 passes for 205 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Jackson led Raiders receivers with four catches for 76 yards and a score.

Sam Darnold did not play for Seattle. Drew Lock started and went 12-of-22 for 147 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Jalen Milroe added 61 passing yards on 6-of-10 passing. Running back George Holani paced the ground game with 61 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.
