Tank Bigsby heads to Eagles as Jaguars reportedly strike trade deal
The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired running back Tank Bigsby from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round picks. Bigsby, who had 766 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in 2024, joins a running back group led by Saquo...

Bigsby, who was picked by Jaguars in the third-round in 2023 NFL Draft, joins Eagles' running back room, which is led by Saquon Barkley and also has AJ Dillon and Will Shipley. Barkley, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, opened the 2025 season with 84 all-purpose yards and a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Shipley contributed 26 yards on three carries, while Dillon added 10 yards on his three attempts.
Bigsby, who has 910 yards and nine touchdowns in 34 games with the Jaguars, became dispensable because Jaguars drafted two running backs - Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr. - in April earlier this year, ESPN reported.
According to the NFL, Eagles have made a burst of trades over the last month, acquiring quarterback Sam Howell from the Minnesota Vikings, wide receiver John Metchie III from the Houston Texans and offensive tackle Fred Johnson from the Jaguars.
It’s uncertain whether he’ll be ready for the Eagles’ Week 2 Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs, but ultimately he’s expected to give Eagles valuable depth and fresh legs behind Barkley.
