Robert Tsao, a Taiwanese billionaire, who earlier tried to improve relations with China, has decided to help anti-Beijing resistance fighters by funding them with £87 million.

Taiwanese billionaire Robert Tsao had spent a lot of time trying to heal the damage between Taiwan and China. Now, he has turned his back on the Chinese regime and has decided to help train the Taiwanese people.


Robert Tsao’s journey

Roert Tsao, a Taiwanese billionaire, had tried to improve his country's relations with China. The billionaire had been in Singapore for years in what is termed as a self-imposed exile. He came back to Taiwan in early September.


How will Robert Tsao help?

Tsao has committed himself to funding the resistance with £87 million from his fortune.
He wants to use this amount to train Taiwan's civil warriors, or the local people, to resist and fight against the Chinese invasion.
One-fifth of his funds will be given to the Kuna Academy, which runs first aid and civil defense courses.

What does Robert Tsao say?

Robert said he had no choice but to return to Taiwan to make the people aware of how the current Chinese government was behaving. He compared the nature of the Chinese Communist Party to that of a mafia. He wanted to make the people understand that the party was a crime group pretending to be a national government, as per media reports.

He further said that the party will be able to take control of Taiwan only after his death.

Why did he leave?

Robert had chosen to leave Taiwan when the government of his country turned against him as he had a pro-Beijing stance.

Elaborating on it, Robert said that he had initiated a campaign to persuade China that if they wanted to reunite their country with Taiwan, it should be done peacefully and in a civilised manner. He worked hard to convince the country not to use force to reunite with Taiwan, but it all went in vain when Xi Jinping entered the office.
