What happened at T.K. Carter’s home?



According to TMZ, T.K. Carter was found deceased on Friday at his residence in Duarte, California. Law enforcement officials said officers responded to a call for service around 5:40 p.m., where a death report was made. Authorities confirmed that no foul play is suspected, and the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.Authorities say no foul play is suspected, as per a report by The US Sun.

Why was T.K. Carter best known to audiences?


Carter earned widespread recognition for portraying Nauls in John Carpenter’s 1982 horror and sci-fi film The Thing. The role became iconic among genre fans and remains one of his most memorable performances. His film work also included Runaway Train, Space Jam, Domino, Southern Comfort, He’s My Girl, and Ski Patrol.

How extensive was his television career?

Beyond film, Carter built a steady television career beginning in the mid-1970s. He appeared in more than two dozen episodes of Punky Brewster as Mike Fulton during the 1980s and later played T-Bone on The Steve Harvey Show. He also starred in the miniseries The Corner in 2000.

In August 2025, Carter reflected on The Corner during an appearance on Live from the Green Room, revealing he struggled to even secure an audition until a close friend connected him with their manager. His final on-screen roles came in 2023, appearing in three episodes of The Company You Keep and five episodes of Dave.
