There are some rules around the kind of materials or fabrics that can be used while designing a swimsuit, which need to be followed by any country who sends their athlete at an Olympic swimming event.

Some swimsuits are barred from the Olympics. But why?

Moreover, Olympics has for a long time, barred swimmers from wearing full body swimsuits and even banned certain materials to be adopted in the fabrics used to design the swimsuits.
