A vast majority of fellow Americans believe that former President Donald Trump will be convicted in all or at least a few of the 34 felony charges he is facing in the Manhattan federal court. In a survey poll conducted by USA Today and Suffolk University found that 65% of the respondents expect a guilty verdict on at least some of the 34 charges that Trump is facing in a hush money trial, reports USA Today. Only 23% of those surveyed, disproportionately Trump supporters, say he will be exonerated.

The Republican contender has been accused of paying $ 130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels and falsifying business records to cover it up.

Supporters are split

Besides, supporters of Donald Trump are split over whether a conviction is coming. About 44% predict a guilty verdict on at least some counts, 43% a not-guilty verdict on all of them.


On the other hand, 86%-7% of Joe Biden supporters feel that the former president will be convicted on at least some counts.

USA Today and Suffolk University contacted 1,000 registered voters by landline and cellphone between April 30 and May 3. It accepts to have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Overall, 15% of the people polled expect Donald Trump to be convicted on all 34 felony counts, 50% on some of them, and 23% on none of them.

It was just a survey and it will have no impact on the trial at all. The judgment of the trial will depend on 12 jurors who have been listening to testimony at Manhattan Criminal Court.

Has the Trial been fair?

As far as Trump's complaints are concerned, those surveyed by 44%-39% say the trial hasn't been fair. Independents split 37%-37% on the trial's fairness. Besides, white people, Hispanic voters and seniors 65 and older men have called the trial unfair.
