On January 13, "Super League: The War for Football" will be available on the streaming service Apple TV+. The series' tagline reads, "The critical struggle that erupts when the plans for the league emerge and the present, future, and past of European football collide, compelling the sport's most powerful figures to defend or overturn its traditions."
The paper will include contact information for league presidents, club owners, and the people responsible for the idea of a European Super League.
To set the stage, in April of 2017, it was reported that twelve of the extremely amazing soccer clubs in the world, which includes Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, were considering forming the European Super League (ESL). This new midweek league would prevent them from competing in venerable continental competitions such as the Champions League and the Europa League. In other words, if these clubs participated in the ESL, they would not be able to play in tournaments like the Champions League and the Europa League.
