Sulemana Abdul Samed recently learned he was 2.89 meters or 9ft 6in tall during his checkup in a local hospital in northern Ghana. He was diagnosed with gigantism some time back and had his routine appointment due to complications related to gigantism.

Sulemana Abdul Samed was asked to stand against a measuring rod, and the nurse shockingly told him that he was taller than the scale. Abdul was amused because of the spectacle he caused. He is known by the nickname Awuche, meaning "Let's Go."

Abdul was not surprised as he knew he had never stopped growing. However, the hospital staff was left shocked and unprepared. The staff kept calling other colleagues for help before a group of health professionals gathered to determine his height. The team got the estimate by attaching a pole as an extension over the rod.
