Succession: Is Season 5 happening? Actor Kieran Culkin gives a hint!

Succession fans, rejoice! Right after the recent finale episode of the successful series aired, there are already rumors of a new season that was never in the offing! There may be a potential Season 5 of Succession, hinted actor Kieran Culkin, who plays one of the Roys on the hit HBO drama series.

What did Kieran Culkin say about Succession Season 5?

So, Kieran Culkin mentioned that he doesn’t know what to do now after Succession has ended, hinting that he wants a new season to happen. Previously too, the actor had said he had tried to talk to showrunner Jesse Armstrong about new seasons for Succession post Season 4.


We know that Succession 4 finale has ended the series, with the [SPOILER] Waystar top position going to none of the Roy siblings. But the ending is not quite what the fans really wanted, and so, there could be a new season sometime, if the creators decide to bring in a new twist that fans want.

Kieran Culkin, in an interview with director Taika Waititi for Interview Magazine, revealed that he wasn’t able to come to terms with the show’s ending so soon.

Culkin recently completed filming, and also battled illness, and took part in promotions, and therefore doesn’t know what to do with his time now. I still haven't processed it. “We finished filming about a month ago. I came home for a few days, got really sick, did two weeks of press, and then my whole family got sick again. Now the press is over, the show is airing, it's done. So what do I do now?" he said.

He added that he “always thought five seasons” as far as the show goes.

However, Armstrong had clearly mentioned that Succession Season 4 would be the last of the series, also adding, “Maybe there's another part of this world we could come back to, if there was an appetite? Maybe there's something else that could be done…"
