Strawberry Moon: Photos of extraordinary spectacle in the night sky

June’s full moon lit up the night sky on Tuesday, June 10, with a stunning display, glowing in shades of red and orange depending on where it was seen. Known as the "strawberry moon" for its timing with strawberry harvest season, this year’s edition was especially rare due to its exceptionally low position in the sky. While June’s full moon is typically the lowest of the year, this one marked the lowest since 2006, a sight that won’t be seen again until June 2043.
