Grace Van Dien, known for her role as cheerleader Chrissy Cunningham in the Netflix hit series 'Stranger Things', has revealed that she has taken a step back from acting due to non-consensual sexual advances by an undisclosed producer. The 26-year-old actor declined four movie projects in the past two-and-a-half weeks due to negative experiences with superiors on set.

Van Dien disclosed that during one of her last movies, a producer approached her through a girl he was in a relationship with, to have relations with them. This incident made her feel uncomfortable and upset. As a result, she now prefers streaming as it allows her to choose who she hangs out with and talks to.

Streaming has also been beneficial for her mental health, and Van Dien streams herself playing games on her Twitch account @BlueFille, which has over 300,000 followers. She has not quit the acting and television world entirely but will be selective with the projects she engages in the future.


Van Dien took to Twitter to promote her directorial debut, "Monsters and Muses," a 2020 short film that she starred in. She also tweeted that she is developing her own projects and is hoping that someone decides to fund them so she can be in control of her own set and not ask her actors to have relations with her.
