As tensions around the Iran war continue to intensify, Steve Bannon has sparked fresh controversy with remarks targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s family. The former White House adviser is now calling on DHS to deport Netanyahu’s son and send him to the front lines, as debate grows over possible U.S. military escalation.

The comments come at a time when the conflict has entered its fifth week, with thousands of U.S. troops already deployed to the Middle East and concerns mounting over whether American ground forces could soon be drawn into the fighting.

Why did Steve Bannon mention Netanyahu’s son?

As the war with Iran stretches into its fifth week, Steve Bannon has made headlines after publicly demanding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son be sent to the front lines.

During remarks at CPAC and later on his War Room broadcast, Bannon sharply criticized what he described as powerful figures allowing others to fight wars on their behalf. He specifically pointed to Yair Netanyahu, who reportedly spends significant time in Miami, and called for DHS action, as per a report by Newsweek.

Bannon’s comments were centered around the question of who should bear the burden of war.

He said, "Get him here, Netanyahu's kid down in Miami—get him out tomorrow. Where's DHS? We need him? Throw him out. Get him back there. Put a uniform on him. Let's have him in the first wave."

He also expanded the point by saying wealthy Gulf allies should send their own forces as well.

"Let's have the Arabs. I want Arabs. I want a UAE, MBZ [Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE president], who's the best they got over there. And he's got a real army, it's not huge, but they actually know how to fight. Kharg Island. There's your objective. Go."
"And throw in a couple of Qatar princes. Throw the Saudi princes in there too. Get them out of London, get them out of the casinos and whorehouses in London. And get them back to the Gulf," as quoted in a report by Newsweek.

The remarks reflect growing divisions within MAGA ranks over the war, particularly around the possibility of American ground troops being sent into Iranian territory.

Could U.S. troops enter Iran?

This is the issue now dominating political discussion. According to the information provided, thousands of Marines aboard the USS Tripoli have already arrived in the region, while Army 82nd Airborne paratroopers are also being deployed.

Reports indicate the Pentagon is preparing for the possibility of weeks of potential ground operations inside Iran, with U.S. Special Forces and infantry potentially involved.

At the same time, Donald Trump has publicly said he is "not putting troops anywhere," while declining to rule out future action.

Strategically, locations such as Kharg Island, which handles around 90 percent of Iran’s oil exports, and key points in the Strait of Hormuz remain central to military discussions, as per a report by Newsweek.

What happens next in the Iran War?

No final decision has been announced regarding U.S. ground operations, but the military buildup suggests the possibility remains open.

Iran, meanwhile, has issued strong warnings. According to the provided information, parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf warned that Iran would "set them on fire" and "punish their regional partners forever" if U.S. troops enter Iranian soil.

He added, "Our firing continues. Our missiles are in place. Our determination and faith have increased."

The next phase of the conflict may depend on whether the current troop deployments remain defensive or evolve into direct ground action, as per a report by Newsweek.
