Starbucks will allow members in the US to collect and buy Polygon-based NFTs. Cointelegraph says the members' points will increase with a rise in the collection of stamps and will allow members to get unique experiences.

The digital stamps will be called Starbucks Odyssey and have verified blockchain ownership with a rarity-based point value. The coffeehouse said the rewards would have diverse offerings like customers accessing merchandise, a virtual class to make espresso martinis or exclusive invites to Starbucks Reserve Roasteries events. The prizes will also include visiting the Starbucks Hacienda Alsacia coffee farm in Costa Rica. You can collect the NFTs through coffee-based interactive games or fun challenges on Odyssey. We expect it to launch later this year.

Right now, it's for coffee: two closed fists, one on top of the other, rotating in a move that brings to mind a coffee grinder.

There are also special mugs for sale with designs by a deaf artist, and a transcription of how to sign the logo of the store.

How Will It Happen?

The customers would be able to purchase NFTs on the marketplace, and there would be no requirement to utilise crypto or wallets. The stamps will have Starbucks artwork that outside artists and Starbucks partners will create. A part of the proceeds from the sales will support creators' causes, and the NFTs will be minted through the PoS blockchain that Polygon will develop. Vice-president and CMO of Starbucks, Brady Brewer, said they are entering the Web3.0 space and doing it differently than other brands while deepening connection with their members. He said their vision is to create a digital community where people can engage in experiences, come together for coffee and celebrate Starbucks.
