Squid Game season 2 release date on Netflix: All we know so far

Netflix got its most-watched show in the form of "Squid Game" which was released on September 17, 2021. Fans are eagerly waiting for the second season of the "Squid Game" on the streaming platform.

On June 12, 2022, Netflix released a teaser that officially confirmed the second season of the "Squid Game".

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that Netflix that fans of the "Squid Game" can expect to release the second season by the end of 2023 or in 2024, as per a report in Vanity Fair.


"Squid Game" lead character Gi-hun, portrayed by Lee Jung-jae, will appear in the second season of the show alongside the Front Man.

Back in February this year, Lee Jung-jae said that the filming for the "Squid Game" season 2 was scheduled to commence in the summer. It will take around 10 months of the shooting.

So there are chances that the release date of the Squid Game season 2 will be pushed back to last 2024 or early 2025. However, Netflix is yet to officially make a comment on the release schedule of the "Squid Game" season 2.
