A few years back, millions worldwide tuned in to witness individuals tackling challenges for a substantial cash reward or facing perilous consequences. Consequently, numerous individuals decided to take on that challenge.
Though the stakes weren't as extreme as death, participants faced arduous tasks in challenging weather conditions, all vying for a substantial $4.56 million prize – Netflix's most significant cash reward in reality TV.
Criticism arose due to the show being filmed during a UK cold snap, leading some contestants to consider legal action against Netflix, claiming injuries sustained during production.
Now, Radhika, a participant, has turned to TikTok to share her firsthand encounter and disclose her earnings from the show.
Player 352, also known as Radhika, labeled Squid Game: The Challenge as a 'wild experience.'
Despite discontent among certain players about the unfolding events on set, Radhika expressed a positive perspective, stating she would not take it back for the world.
Even after discovering the show's compensation, the response remained the same: nothing.
“Zero," Radhika said. "Zero GDB, zero USD, zero Rupees, zero Won, zero Pesos, zero Euros, zero. Literally zero"
“It was all or nothing," Radhika said, referring to the prize money. "We were really in there acting like that for nothing, because the stakes were so high. It was $4.56 million.”
The individual from Milton Keynes, identified as contestant 352, got eliminated during the warship round when her team's boat sank.
The participant clarified that while players did enjoy certain perks, such as the production company covering transportation costs, including flights from abroad, they were otherwise provided with only the essentials.
Netflix transformed its popular series, centered around 456 contestants risking everything for a multimillion-dollar prize, into an actual competition. Over 100,000 applicants eagerly sought to participate in the real-life version, enticed by the prospect of winning $4.56 million (£3.63 million), as the grand finale loomed just days ahead.
