Apple has released the first teaser video for its upcoming holiday film 'Spirited' which stars Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer. The movie was shot in the Boston region in 2021.

'Spirited' depicts the tale of the Ghost of Christmas Present, who chooses one "dark soul" to be visited by three ghosts each Christmas Eve. Clint Briggs (Reynolds), his pick for the cynic this time, "turns the tables on his ghostly host," compelling Present to think about his history, present, and future.
In the teaser video released on Wednesday, Reynolds and Ferrell can be seen in silhouettes executing a challenging tap routine as part of a dancing sequence shot on the streets of Boston in September 2021. The teaser can also show scenes filmed at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree.
Reynolds has experience in the Boston region; in 2019, he spent two months here to film the upcoming comedy-adventure "Free Guy." Additionally, Reynolds shot the 2009 romantic comedy "The Proposal" in Massachusetts. Reynolds and Blake Lively met while shooting "R.I.P.D." in Boston in 2011.
Ferrell had already worked with "Spirited" director Sean Anders to film "Daddy's Home 2" in Massachusetts, so he also has a history there.
