Spider-Man 2 PS5 release date: Peter Parker is coming to PlayStation. Key details of video game

Once again, Peter Parker is coming to PlayStation! The first look of the much-anticipated Spider-Man 2 was showcased during the PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023. The very next day, developer Insomniac shared details.

Recently, during the PlayStation Showcase event. Among many other titles shown, what caught the interest of many is none other than Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. To take things further and give more details, developer Insomniac Games shared details on Twitter.

Developer Insomniac Games revealed the first look and gameplay on Twitter writing, “The Great Hunt Begins. We’re thrilled to reveal the first-ever gameplay of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, coming fall 2023 on PlayStation 5!”

In the next tweet, Insomniac Games shared that it looks forward to sharing soon.

“Watching your reactions today has been spectacular. We know you have tons of questions about Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and we're eager to share more soon, including news about the release date, pre-orders, and accessibility features.”

Now, as per the tweet, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is landing on PS5 this fall. However, as per previous reports, it is rumored to launch in September.

During the May 24 PlayStation Showcase event, an impressive and lengthy gameplay video of Spider-Man 2 was presented, showcasing Kraven the Hunter and symbiote Spider-Man. Insomniac, the game's developer, further confirmed after its appearance at PlayStation Showcase that Spider-Man 2 is a single-player game, ruling out any cooperative gameplay.

Developer Insomniac is in good news recently, much for its Wolverine game. However, no details are out yet including title.

The first Marvel's Spider-Man game was released on PS4 and later upgraded for PS5, with Miles Morales launching on both consoles simultaneously. However, the sequel, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, will be exclusively available on PlayStation 5, leaving the last-gen consoles behind. There is currently no information about a PC version for the game.
