The 37-year-old Blake Lively filed a lawsuit in December 2024, alleging that Baldoni, who also directed the movie, had harassed her sexually while it was being made.

She claimed he tried to add more intimate scenes than those in the script and improvised kissing scenes. She asserted that there was frequently no intimacy coordinator on set, as quoted in a report by Page Six.

In his January countersuit, 41-year-old Baldoni refuted Lively's claims and included a text message from her indicating that she refused to meet with the film's intimacy coordinator prior to production.

"As much as it interferes with my process, in my experience, when an actor says, 'I don't need to meet the intimacy coordinator until we're shooting,' it usually means that they trust their scene partner," Schachter said in the documentary.

And those texts led her to believe that she did feel a great deal of trust in him at one point.

Schachter seemed to agree with Lively when analyzing the uncut production footage of her and Baldoni filming a slow-dancing scene. The actress said she attempted to avoid kissing the actor-director by suggesting they converse during the scene, as quoted in a report by Page Six.

Schachter doesn't "see that," but Baldoni saw the move as Lively "inserting herself into the production process in intrusive ways." "Instead of stating, 'I don't want to do that,' an actress tries to avoid kissing her coworker by offering alternative suggestions," she said.

According to Schachter, Lively's actions were "pretty considerate," but it could be humiliating for everyone there to see Blake Lively tell Justin Baldoni to stop.
