Red Bull driver Max Verstappen continues to be on his winning streak as he recorded his third consecutive win in the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday.

It was his fifth victory in seven races and with this win, he has tightened his grip on the Formula 1 season.

The Red Bull driver scored his 40th career win and extended his lead over team-mate Sergio Perez to 53 points.

He secured the first-place position and completed the fastest lap of the day for which he was awarded additional points.

The Red Bull driver looked unbeatable from the very beginning and dominated the race.

Verstappen's dominance was apparent right from the first lap itself and he exhibited an unrivaled performance throughout the race. Despite a brief threat from Sainz, who made an impressive start, the Spaniard ultimately conceded the position to Verstappen.

Sergio Perez, on the other hand, had a comparatively challenging race, finishing second and failing to maintain the momentum he had gained from the previous six races.

Verstappen's victory further increased the point difference between the two Red Bull Racing teammates, making it a significant 53-point margin, equivalent to more than two race wins.

Although Fernando Alonso's performance was below his own level, he managed to secure the third position. Carlos Sainz earned 10 points, finishing fifth after the two Red Bulls and the two Mercedes newcomers.

Lewis Hamilton demonstrated improvement and closed the gap to Alonso, reducing it to a mere 12 points.
