Southeast Michigan weather: Over 600 schools shut after overnight snow, more squalls expected on Thursday
More than 600 schools in Southeast Michigan have closed due to overnight snowfall, with snow squalls expected later on Thursday. Drivers can face hazardous conditions, including icy roads and near-zero visibility.

The snow moved out early on Thursday, but its effects are still being felt across the region. Although the snowfall has ended, the weather service has warned that snow squalls could still occur anywhere.
Crews have been working to clear the roads. Some areas treated roads before the snowstorm; however, many remain covered in snow, making for a challenging morning commute.
