Last month witnessed 158 deaths in a crowd rush at a Halloween Day party, and in the aftermath, the South Korean police will deploy 600 police officers to prevent such an incident from occurring in Seoul at a cheering event for the World Cup. South Korea’s National Police Agency said it would deploy eight riot police squads and over 40 more officers in downtown Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square on Thursday. It comes in the wake of South Korea's opening match in Qatar's World Cup. The aim will be to maintain order and keep the crowd managed. The police expect 15,000 people to collect for the match at the public square.
