It has been a great year for technology, especially with the launch of an assortment of earbuds from various brands. From ultra-premium earbuds to budget headsets, consumers are spoilt for choice. Here's a look at some of the most innovative TWS that made a splash in 2022.

It is true that great phones need great earbuds. Earlier in May, Google unveiled its all-new Pixel Buds Pro. Designed around a new custom audio processor, these earbuds have an active noise-cancelling technology. OnePlus launched its Nord Buds CE True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds in India on August 1 this year. These earbuds claim to offer a total listening time of up to 20 hours with the charging case and up to 4.5 hours without the case. August 10 also saw the entry of the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds 2 Pro. Armed with coaxial two-way speakers and 24-bit Hi-Fi audio, this device can offer up to 29 hours of audio experience. These earbuds are available in three colours - graphite, white and bora purple. Price: Rs 19,999

Sony also joined the party in August. The donut-shaped LinkBuds made a bit of a splash with their lightweight features, ambient sound and adaptive sound control. Price: Rs 12,990

Apple’s September line-up saw the entry of the brand new AirPods Pro Gen-2. While Apple has not tampered much with the look and feel, the hardware has been tweaked a bit. The redesigned inward-facing microphone works well with voice enhancement algorithms which recognise and articulate your voice better. Price: Rs 26,900.

Launched on the same day as Apple’s AirPods Pro Gen-2, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds offer world-class noise cancellation. hese earpieces offer 6 hours of audio time without the case and 18 hours with the charging case. Price: Rs 26,900

Noise, the domestic technology brand, launched its Noise Bare Buds TWS earbuds in September. Claimed to offer better call performance, these buds come with environmental noise cancellation (ENC) which filters out unwanted sounds and is equipped with a 9mm dynamic subwoofer driver. Price: Rs 3,499

Nothing unveiled its much-awaited Ear (stick) in October. The feather-light audio device comes with up to 21 hours of playtime and a comfortable half-in-ear design. These premium earbuds go on sale on Flipkart and Myntra from November 17. Price: Rs 8,488
