‘Something Beautiful’: Miley Cyrus' next album to release on this date

Fans of Miley Cyrus are in for a major surprise as the famed singer has announced her new visual album. Titled as Something Beautiful, this will be Cyrus' ninth album in total.

All set for release on May 30, Something Beautiful will feature as many as 13 original tracks, Variety reported.

The project has been exclusively produced by Cyrus in partnership with Shawn Everett, who earlier has worked with Alabama Shakes and Kacey Musgraves.

What to expect?

While no major details surrounding the record have been made public yet, Cyrus did release the album cover on Instagram.

Shot by Glen Luchford, it features the 32-year-old in the archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture. She wrote that it is a "striking nod to the album’s bold aesthetic and visual storytelling."

Cyrus has been teasing her new album over the past couple of days, with her accounts on multiple social media platforms changing headers, hinting at an upcoming key announcement by the singer. Also, there were billboards put up at various locations in Brazil, the Netherlands, and Argentina.

Fans of Cyrus can pre-order the album across different formats, like signed vinyl and CDs as well as limited-edition vinyl and two box sets featuring collectibles, according to Variety.

Miley Cyrus' last album

Endless Summer Vacation, the eighth studio album of Miley Cyrus, was released in March 2023 and became an instant hit, especially its single Flowers.

The song remained at the No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for nearly eight weeks and even broke several streaming records at that time.

During the Grammys 2024, Flowers bagged the record of the year honour as well as the trophy for the best pop solo performance. Meanwhile, Endless Summer Vacation was also nominated among categories like best pop vocal album and the coveted album of the year prize.

However, Flowers again came into the spotlight in September last year due to a copyright lawsuit brought by Tempo Music Investments.

Cyrus has been accused by the company of copying When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars for her song. Recently, Cyrus suffered a setback when a judge denied her request to dismiss the lawsuit against her.

Prior to Endless Summer Vacation, Cyrus' seventh studio album -- Plastic Hearts -- was released in November 2020, with the singer getting praised for singles like Midnight Sky, Prisoner, and Angels Like You.

This was the same year when Cyrus finalised her divorce with actor Liam Hemsworth.
