Slack suffers outage. What we know so far

This was not the first time that Slack suffered outage. Know what happened and what the company has to say about it.

Instant messaging program Slack suffered outage and faced problems on Thursday. Some users complained that their messages simply were not delivered on both threads and channels.


Slack suffers outage


Downdetector found that more than 10,000 users raked up the issue at one point of time. Thousands of people also reported on Twitter that Slack was not working. The company has confirmed the problem and claimed to have resolved the issue at 12.58 pm ET.



Slack admits outage


The comapny first admitted the outage and said, "Some customers are encountering issues loading messages and channels in Slack. We're actively looking into this, and we'll report back as more information becomes available."

Slack claims fixing issue soon


Later, it claimed that the issue has been resolved, "We've restored full functionality of Slack for all impacted users. Sorry for the trouble, we appreciate your patience today."

This is not the first time that Slack has encountered outage. Earlier in July this year and October last year the program faced a similar problem.
