Skybound Games 'WrestleQuest' to debut on Netflix Games. Check release date, other details

WrestleQuest, the highly anticipated game from Skybound Games, has been confirmed for a multi-platform release in August 2023. However, the latest announcement reveals that Netflix Games will exclusively host the mobile version of the game.

Initially announced in March 2022, WrestleQuest was not originally planned for release on Netflix. The game was set to be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The absence of any Netflix branding in the trailer shown at PAX East had also raised questions.




Recently, Skybound Games dropped a new trailer titled "Legends Trailer," which finally featured the Netflix Games logo and announced a revised release date. Originally scheduled for May 2023, WrestleQuest will now launch on August 8, 2023.

Developed by Mega Cat Studios based in Pittsburgh, United States, WrestleQuest combines classic RPG combat with wrestling moves, various match styles, and an array of gimmicks. Fans will be thrilled to see wrestling legends, such as Jake the Snake Roberts, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and André the Giant featured in the game.

Netflix Games has confirmed that WrestleQuest, alongside its release on other platforms, will be available on Netflix Games. This marks the second collaboration between Skybound Games and Netflix, following the successful release of Before Your Eyes in July 2022.

WrestleQuest will join a growing lineup of acquisitions and original games in development at Netflix Games. Upcoming titles include Oxenfree II: Lost Signals scheduled for a July release, Shadow And Bone: Destinies slated for later in 2023, and Monument Valley 1 & 2 arriving in 2024.
