Sky Mobile is currently experiencing a significant service disruption, as users have reported their inability to connect to the mobile internet. On Tuesday afternoon, Downdetector, an online outage monitor, also recorded numerous user complaints regarding problems with Sky Mobile.

Downdetector has indicated that the problems began shortly before 2 pm on Tuesday, and more than 1,000 customers have already reported issues. The outage seems to be affecting a large number of users throughout the United Kingdom, mainly concentrated in London, Falmouth and Manchester.

It is worth noting that Sky Mobile operates on the O2 network, which, according to Downdetector, is also experiencing some difficulties. However, these issues on the O2 network do not seem to be as widespread as the ones affecting Sky Mobile.


Several users took the issue to Twitter out of frustration complaining about the outage writing, "#SkyMobile @SkyHelpTeam I am not able to make any outbound calls nor am I able to receive inbound calls. I believe your network has failed! Please retweet if you are experiencing the same." While another tweeted, "My calls ain’t going through problems with sky mobile. Anyone else the same?"

Moreover, The Independent reported that it has received confirmation from the network that the outages reported by numerous O2 customers were connected to their inability to contact Sky Mobile customers. Virgin Mobile O2's spokesperson acknowledged the problem, specifying that it affects Sky Mobile customers exclusively and assures that their network is functioning normally.
