Skate America 2023: Lives streaming, dates, where to watch

The Grand Prix figure skating season commences with Skate America. The event will take place in Allen, Texas. Skate America will be broadcast live on NBC Sports and streamed on Peacock this weekend.

The event features prominent figures in the figure skating world, including the reigning world ice dance champions, Madison Chock and Evan Bates, as well as US champions in singles, Ilia Malinin and Isabeau Levito, making it the first major competition of the season.

Madison Chock and Evan Bates, who secured their first world title in March after a 12-year partnership, are vying for their fourth Skate America crown. If they succeed, they will extend an impressive streak of American couples winning this event for 15 consecutive years.


Ilia Malinin, the world bronze medalist, returns to the competition where he achieved history last year by landing the second quadruple Axel ever recorded, following his earlier feat of performing the first one. At just 17 years old, he became the youngest men's Skate America champion.

Isabeau Levito, who finished fourth at the world championships at the age of 16, has the chance to become the youngest American woman to win Skate America since Michelle Kwan claimed her second title in 1996, adding to her record seven titles. The competition also features world silver medalist Loena Hendrickx from Belgium and US bronze medalist Amber Glenn.

2023 Skate America will be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
