American singer and songwriter Taylor Swiftis one step away from securing prestigious EGOT status as her ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ makes her eligible for the Oscars. The EGOT is an acronym for the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards.
Her first foray comes in at 14 minutes into filmmaking. The movie is directed and written by Taylor Swift and stars Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink. It first premiered on November 12, 2021, to a group of fans that were exclusively invited. It took place at AMC Lincoln Square in NYC. The film continued to screen till November 18.
The movie satisfies eligibility for the 95th Academy Awards and can be considered the best live-action short film if nominated.
Three categories at the Oscars recognize short films. It is defined as a runtime of fewer than 40 minutes. While the movie does not have huge stars, it is still eligible.
