Late American singer Naomi Judd’s final will has left everyone in shock as it is reportedly missing some obvious benefactors from the pages of the will. Judd’s decision to assign her husband, Larry Strickland, as the will's executor may be obvious. However, daughters Wynonna and Ashley Judd were left out of their mother's will.

The late country singer, who died in April, appointed her spouse, Larry Strickland, as the executor of her will. Judd and Strickland remained married for 33 years. As per the court document found out by a leading publishing media, Strickland would have full authority and discretion over the late singer’s estate, while he would not need any permission from any beneficiary or approval of any court.

While it is customary to name the spouse as the executor of a will, leaving out Naomi's daughters appears to be a deliberate act on Naomi's part, according to attorney Holly Davis.

Naomi died by suicide on April 30 this year, a day before she and her daughter Wynonna were to be inaugurated into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Judd was 76.

According to the criminal defence attorney, Jason Goldman, the country singer was possibly advised to select her husband over her two daughters as it would be a more apt and less contentious decision for her.

The attorney also added that wills are typically difficult to interpret when they are overly specific, especially in the existence of numerous children. Oftentimes, a longer, more complex division will become a recipe for misinterpretation.

It is still unclear whether Wynonna, 58, and Ashley, 54, are beneficiaries of any assets of Judd's since they were not mentioned in her will at all.

Judd, the 'Love Can Build a Bridge' singer, prepared the will on November 20, 2017.

It has been heard that Wynonna seems unhappy with her mother’s decision, as she believes she was the primary factor behind her mother’s success. While a legal representative for Ashley didn’t comment, Wynonna’s representatives were unavailable for comment.
