Singer Maren Morris meets a specially abled fan during 'Today' performance. Here's what happened
American singer-songwriter Maren Morris made a special gesture towards a specially abled fan recently. During performance on Today's stage, Morris went to meet a fan named Lily in the audience. Lily, who cannot see, asked her a few questions and p...

At the time of the performance, anchor Savannah Guthrie told the star that a little girl in the front row was singing Morris's several songs. Both the star and anchor made their way into the crowd. Guthrie told Morris that lily can hear but cannot see.
Lily was gifted a signed guitar by the star. She thanked Morris on receiving it. At the moment, the little girl Lily was on cloud nine. The "The Circles Around This Town" star also answered a couple of questions thrown her way as she chatted between the songs.
Morris asked Lily for a picture before she went back on stage, and they both looked excited and happy when the pictures were clicked. Morris is looking to fulfill her dream of becoming a Broadway star and performing with John Mayer.
She seems to be also working on bringing inclusivity into the world of country music. Morris's latest album, "Humble Quest," was released in March. She said that welcoming their son was a turning point in her creative and personal life alongside her husband, Ryan Hurd. Morris said her son has already taught her a lot. Her son's name is Hayes, and she said nowadays she feels more empathetic towards others and sees things more deeply.
In October 2020, she released "Better Than We Found It", a country protest song that was inspired by Black Lives Matter. She earned a Grammy nomination for it. It was the 13th nomination for her overall and the second this year. It shows Morris has a progressive and outspoken voice in a traditionally conservative industry.
