Authorities said the remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found in September last year inside the front trunk of a Tesla that had been impounded at a Hollywood tow yard. Police said the vehicle was registered to an address linked to Burke in Texas.


Investigators reported that the car had been left on a public street for more than 72 hours before it was towed. Employees at the yard later noticed a strong odor coming from the vehicle and contacted police on September 8. Authorities said the remains were severely decomposed and had been dismembered, with the head and torso found inside a cadaver bag.
