Singer Britney Spears shares first look of duet with Elton John

"Hold Me Closer" is a remix of Sir Elton John's 1972 classic single, Tiny Dancer. The song will mark the comeback of Britney Spears, who stayed silent during the last years of her controversial conservatorship that ended in November 2021.

Pop singer Britney Spears has released the first look of her new cover with Sir Elton John, also popularly known as 'Rocket Man.'

The new cover, Hold Me Closer, will have the iconic singers in a duet, John and Spears, side by side. Per reports, the new cover will release on August 26, 2022.

In the new cover, the duo can see sparkled blue and white baseball uniforms holding baseball bats over their shoulders. While John has his signature smile, Spears is wearing an intense and sensuous luscious one. Hold Me Closer is a highly anticipated single and will be under the banner of Universal Music.


Hold Me Closer will mark the return of the Queen of Pop after a two-year gap. The song is a remix of John’s 1972 single, Tiny Dancer, and will be Spears’s first release since her third wedding with Iranian-American model Sam Asghari. In February, Britney Spears signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster for a whopping $15 million.

The book will be a memoir covering the controversial popstar’s personal and professional lives.

Spears was placed under the conservatorship of her father, James Spears, and Andrew M. Wallet in 2008. finally ended the conservatorship after 14 years in November 2021.

Spears has had a troubled relationship with her family members, which was re-highlighted after her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, released her memoir titled Things I Should Have Said.

Since the 40-year-old’s marriage to Asghari, things seem to be getting back on track.

The new single has reignited excitement in Spears’s fans, given that "Hold Me Closer" is a fresh take on a classic like Tiny Dancer. Sir Elton John himself came up with the idea of the collaboration. The song is touted as the perfect shot for Britney Spears to revive her career after controversies marred it for the last few years.
