Production for the second season of the sci-fi thriller series 'Silo', which is featured on Apple TV+, has been put on an indefinite hiatus due to the ongoing Hollywood strikes, according to reports.

Originally, the show, starring Rebecca Ferguson alongside Tim Robbins and Rashida Jones, had planned a break during the week for the set transition in the UK. However, according to Deadline, Apple is now expected to extend the pause without a set end date.

"Silo" is based on Hugh Howey's trilogy of dystopian novels. The series is produced by AMC Studios and quickly became Apple's top-ranked drama show.

Unfortunately, the strikes have caused significant disruptions in the UK's entertainment industry, affecting other prominent productions as well. 'Foundation', another Apple sci-fi drama based on Isaac Asimov's books, starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace, has been shooting in Prague, Czech Republic, and is also expected to feel the impact of the strikes. However, Apple has yet to make an official announcement regarding the show's third season. "Foundation" is produced by Skydance Television.

Recent reports revealed that the second season of "Andor" will not reach completion as actors walked off the set due to the strikes. Furthermore, movies like the Rami Malek thriller "Amateur," "Deadpool 3," and "Wicked" have also been impacted by the ongoing labor disputes.
