Sia went through liposuction following a significant weight gain

Sia without hesitation came out in public for using liposuction to reduce her weight in an effort to be "truthful" about how she looked.

I went in for a lipo today since I had to take a prescription that caused me to gain a lot of weight that I just can't lose with exercise or thyroid medication, the "Unstoppable" singer tweeted on Saturday.

In her own words, Sia Furler said she made the decision to be "truthful" about her cosmetic treatments in order to avoid "contributing to the system that tells us we aren’t enough."


She further continued by saying she is lucky that she has all the means to change her appearance. She further talked about her fear and how she looks in public.

Like most people, I struggle with insecurity and nervousness when I'm among people, so I've decided to change how I look to help with my confidence.

Sia, who is renowned for wearing wigs to hide her face, disclosed that she had a facelift live on stage at the 2023 Daytime Beauty Awards in October.

The singer of "Cheap Thrills" gave an explanation of her decision to hide her name from the public in 2015, following her ascent to fame.
