Shooting at New Hampshire country club: Shooter detained, shelter in place order issued, people asked to remain indoors after multiple shots fired, probe on

A shooting incident occurred at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Saturday night (September 20, 2025), where multiple people were shot, according to the city’s police department, prompting a massive police response. In a post on X, Nashua police have confirmed that there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained. "Video surveillance has confirmed there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained. The scene is still an active investigation but there is no further danger to the public," police said.


The incident took place at around 8 PM on Mountain Laurels Drive. Following the initial investigation, the police department had said that two armed suspects fled the scene. One has been captured, and the other remains at large and is a threat to the public. According to Sky Meadow County Club’s website, it is a private club serving as a venue for a variety of events, such as weddings, besides being a golf course. At least one person has critical injuries, CBS News reported, citing WBZ-TV I-Team sources.


According to CBS News sources, New Hampshire State Police have requested the presence of Massachusetts State Police at the border. Sky Meadow Country Club is located about five minutes over the Massachusetts border.



Emergency Management Alert issued

Following the shooting incident at the Sky Meadow County Club, Dunstable Mass Fire Department issued an Emergency Management Alert and asked people to take shelter in place. The order was issued for residents on Thorndike Street, High Street, and Hardy Street.

"Dunstable Emergency Management is issuing a Shelter in Place Order for residents on Thorndike Street, High Street, and Hardy Street until further notice. This order is being implemented out of caution in connection with an active threat incident at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, NH. Please remain indoors, lock all doors and windows, do not allow anyone into your home unless you know them personally, stay off the roads in the affected area to allow emergency responders access, and monitor official town communication channels for updates. We will provide additional information as it becomes available," Dunstable Mass Fire Department said in a post on Facebook.
